Tired of spending a million hours on Ancestry but not finding any answers in those wiggly green leaves?

Searching for your ancestor's stories isn’t always easy

You’ve got better things to do than searching aimlessly for your ancestor on your own. But not having a plan is costing you valuable time and effort.

✷ You feel stuck, wasting time going in circles in a loop of frustration when you feel like you should be making progress

✷ You’re chasing bright shiny objects that don’t get you any answers and wondering what else you can do?

✷ You’re spending hard-earned money on database subscriptions that you aren’t using to their full potential

It doesn’t have to stay this way, though…

Let me do the legwork and create a personalized research game plan for you.

Here's how it works

Jessica Neaves wearing a black shirt

Hey, I’m Jessica

And I help people uncover the stories that make their family unique.

I created Pick a Genealogist’s Brain because I know what it feels like to want to know more but not have any clue about the next steps. I also know that nothing compares to the thrill when making new discoveries.

I want to make researching your genealogy easier.

And the truth? I’m kinda obsessed with genealogy.

I’ve been researching my family tree for about 20 years and have a Master of Library and Information Science, which fueled my love of research and archives even more.

I’m a black cat mama and when I’m not working or researching my own family tree, you’ll find me with my head buried in a book or binge-watching British mysteries.

Don’t waste your time, energy, and money by going down rabbit holes that end up nowhere.
